Recalls For 2012 BMW Z4 & 2012 BMW 1 Series Active E
BMW is issuing these recalls and owners of the specified models will be contacted this month regarding the potential issues.
BMW is recalling 2012 Z4 models, as well as 1 Series Active E models, for a problem with the electric power steering assist system. The faulty electrical steering can fail to assist the driver, increasing the effort necessary to steer. BMW will notify owners and dealers this month. Dealers will replace the steering assist module at no cost to owners. For more information you can contact the automaker at 1-800-525-7417.
