Genesis-Coupe-vs-Scion-FRS

The good guys at Autoguide.com put two of the hottest affordable sports car you can buy today up against each other – I think for the first time – in a head to head battle. It’s the Scion FR-S, a spoiled little boy form Tokyo, versus Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0 Turbo, a hard-working Korean industrialist. If we cut to the chase, the verdict is that the Genesis is the better car overall – it has better interior, better features, and more power, but the Scion is more fun to drive, and that is the whole point of a sports car.

The Scion might be more fun on the race track, but to live with everyday, having a luxurious cabin and premium features are part of having fun in a car. That’s where the Genesis edges ahead. The Hyundai – in R-Spec guise – costs two grand more than the Scion, but it’s kinda worth it.
