Some 2012 Buick Regal Recalled By GM To Fix Parking Lights
General Motors Co. is recalling 3,600 2012 Buick Regal cars because of faulty parking lights.
GM says a software programming error is to blame and dealers will reprogram the cars. GM found the problem last month when it was certifying the 2013 model. When the Regal made the transition from GM Europe to North America, a calibration change caused the issue.
GM told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in a notice posted Tuesday it is notifying owners this week. The recall only covers Regal vehicles with high-intensity lights. No injuries or crashes were reported in connection with the issue.

With the low difference in price and some dnceet mileage gain, it may actually sell. I’d still prefer a Prius, but if the general public would rather have a Buick, so be it. At least it give a chance to mainstream some better fuel efficiency. Its a long battle that will not have a perfect solution.I’m tired of the battle and have less empathy every day for those that are in denial about the automobile age of waste. If this is what it takes to move the crowd in the right direction, so be it. That said, the low volume I-told-you-so’s are likely.
